- Project website was set up.
- Peripherals sorted out and bought (LED matrix, mini display).
- Connection between peripherals and LPC 4088 board was figured out.
- Further understanding on the structure of coding (timer, counter etc.).
Week 2 Progress Report (2019/03/04-03/10)
- Testing on primary peripherals.
- Gathered some useful libraries for LED matrix (data transfer and control).
Week 2 special update:
- We found a fatal error on our design which is the LED matrix requires 3.5V minimum data input and the LPC4088 board only produces 3.3V data output (~3.1V measured on oscilloscope).
- We solved the problem above by using op-amp positive feed back to amplify the GPIO output to around 5V and saw exactly the same pattern on oscilloscope, but the LED matrix is still not working.
Week 3 Progress Report (2019/03/11-2019/03/17)
- After we found out that our first LED matrix is broken (not working even on a testing Arduino board, we bought a new LED board and successfully tested it.
- Now we can use our code to display our desired pattern on the screen (only one frame).
- Main hardware assembly was completed.
- Coding for LED pattern and button detection were completed.
- Pattern of LED was imported to the code and synchronized with music.
Week 4 Progress Check (2019/03/18-2019/03/20 (check-off))
- Finalize the project with minor implementation.
- Score display added after at end of the game.
- A new function added: press all button to start with a pattern PRESSALL.
